Jarad, the name says it all. Jarad is the creator of the incredible restaurant Jarad at Le Toiny situated in the esteemed Relais & Chateaux Le Toiny Hotel in Toiny. Jarad is the first restaurant in St Barths to have its restaurant rebranded, rebuilt and reinvented on this little piece of paradise where it was conceptualized by and named after their Executive Chef.
Ever since Jarad landed on St Barths, which was Just after hurricane Irma, he has been shaking up the cooking scene with his talented team at an accelerated rate. If you can’t find him behind or In front of his brand new designed kitchen, you can find him at the beach club which has a newly designed menu this season. The experience at Jarad at Le Toiny is unlike any other on the island and is designed with the guest experience as its main priority. At any table you can see all the action of the busy chefs and you are served the food by the chefs themselves.
Recently Jarad won the esteemed award from Gault and Millau for the best Chef in St Barths and gained the highest Gualt and Millau points in the Caribbean, an incredible accomplishment especially noting that he has only been on the island for one season. This year Jarad and his team are more focused and driven with their new space and elevated cuisine.
Once at Jarad it is recommended you try one of his signature plates such the ‘Tree of Life’ made entirely out of Broccoli or the ‘Red Snapper Tartar’ where not one bit of the fish is wasted, not even the scales, givingthe dish an incredibly crunchy texture or his latest invention‘Our Island’ which is composed of onions, elderflower and bacon jam.
